get_business_rule

One business rule by id, with its reference, name, kind, statement, condition and action, exceptions, worked examples, authority, priority, dates in force, status and owner.

Return one business rule: its reference, name, kind, the rule in plain words, when it applies and what follows, the exceptions, the worked examples in order, the stakeholder and the words its authority rests on, MoSCoW priority, the dates it is in force, status and owner. Read it when a story, a requirement or a conversation names a rule by reference and you need the exact decision the business made, with its examples, before you code the calculation or write the test.

A rule of a project the token may not see, or a draft read through a guest token, is unknown rather than forbidden.

Requires ability

The token behind the MCP session must hold it, or the call is refused with TOKEN_MISSING_ABILITY.

The REST endpoint and this tool share one action, so validation, permissions and events are identical.

Annotations

Read-only

It reads and never changes anything.

Arguments

business_rule_id*string

UUID of the business rule to fetch.
