get_revision

One version of an artefact by id, with its snapshot, the diff from the version before, who wrote it and why.

Return one version of a revisable artefact: the version number, the reason it was written, who wrote it and through what, the summary, the columns it changed, the diff from the version before and the full snapshot of the captured columns. Read it before you restore a version, so you and the person you act for know exactly what will come back, and to quote what a field said at a point in time.

Needs activity:read. An unknown id, a version of an artefact the token may not read, or any version read through a guest token is unknown rather than forbidden.

Requires ability

The token behind the MCP session must hold it, or the call is refused with TOKEN_MISSING_ABILITY.

The REST endpoint and this tool share one action, so validation, permissions and events are identical.

Annotations

Read-only

It reads and never changes anything.

Arguments

revision_id*string

UUID of the version to fetch.
