get_design_reference
One design reference by id, with its address, kind, what it is attached to, version, notes and who added it.
Return one design reference of a project: the title, the address to open, the kind, whether it hangs off the whole project or one component and which, the version the designer labels it with, the notes as HTML and the user who added it. Read it when a story, a requirement or a brief names a design you need to open, or to follow a reference id from a listing.
A reference of a project the token may not see is unknown rather than forbidden.
Requires ability
The token behind the MCP session must hold it, or the call is refused with TOKEN_MISSING_ABILITY.
Runs the same action as
The REST endpoint and this tool share one action, so validation, permissions and events are identical.
Annotations
It reads and never changes anything.
