What was deployed where, and how it went.

What was deployed where, and how it went. A deployment is one version put into one environment: reported by a pipeline under its ingestion token, read from GitHub's deployment events through the App, or recorded by a person after a deployment done by hand; it carries the version, the commit and the branch, moves from queued through running to succeeded, failed or cancelled, and a succeeded one tells the environment which version runs there. These tools read a project's deployments with their filters (list_deployments), read what runs on one environment with the deployment that put it there and the recent ones (get_environment_status), and record a deployment the way a pipeline does (record_deployment); finishing a deployment a pipeline opened stays with the pipeline over the REST API. Releases, the promotion through protected environments and the rollback join as the release module lands.
